Monday: Technology Expo

Hosted by SmartRiverside and the County of Riverside IT, the Technology Expo is expected to bring over 300 technology professionals in education and government to discuss issues affecting their industry. In addition, the event will include over 50 technology related vendors. The event will culminate in a VIP networking reception at the Mission Inn from 6:00- 8:00 PM. This event is expected to draw from 75 to 100 attendees including angel investors, technology executives, and local business leaders and entrepreneurs.

From 6:30 – 7:30 at the Riverside Convention Center, as part of the Inland Empire Technology Week, SmartRiverside has put together a free event for the public and local businesses to provide education on how to gain access to the City of Riverside’s Free WiFi network from your laptop, PC or iPhone.

Both AT&T and Expressnets will be presenting on how to gain access to the free WiFi network coming soon throughout Riverside, security/privacy issues, and devices to extend the WiFi signal into your home or business.

Tuesday: W2i “Digital Cities” Conference

Wireless Internet Institute (W2i), an international ‘think tank’ that explores wireless internet technologies and brings together internet stakeholders from around the globe, has chosen Riverside as the location for their “Digital Cities” Conference. These professional development seminars provide local government personnel with training in broadband-wireless planning and implementation and have been hosted across the globe in cities such as Philadelphia, Shanghai, San Francisco, London and Rio De Janeiro.

Tuesday & Wednesday: UCR “Tech Horizons”

UCR’s annual Tech Horizons Conference highlights the Bourns College of Engineering and discusses future commercialization opportunities. This year’s focus is new energies, transportations, and materials.

Thursday: Entrepreneurship Tract / Tech Coast Angel’s Deal Review

Cal State San Bernardino’s Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship provides attendees valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities associated with being an entrepreneur in today’s economy and have the unique opportunity to participate in a deal review hosted by the Inland Empire Tech Coast Angels.
